A more participatory process is needed in order to address the challenges faced in public space. Beginning with methods of engagement this session discusses opportunities to reimagine the relationship between youth and public space. Young adults offer important insights, creativity, and stories of public space while also situating themselves as the next leaders of our society. At this exciting and powerful intersection, tools of placemaking are particularly impactful as they carry these insights into their future education and professions. How do we encourage opportunities of engagement for young adults in placemaking? This session includes the discussion of four international case studies in congruence with an interactive workshop.
