Michael Mehaffy (Future of Places Research Center) and Ward Cunningham (the inventor of Wiki) bring the Wiki approach to placemaking.
In this session Mehaffy and Cunningham are with us through skype to work on how to use their developing wiki platform (and associated pattern language document) as a case study of how we can build tools and toolkits to share and develop on an open-source platform.
And which tools specifically, e.g. placemaking tools, public space tools, process tools, finance tools, etc etc.
The goal of the workshop is to get feedback on the platform specifically, and discussion and collaboration on this topic more broadly
To prepare for the session we invite you to look at the
short video of Michael en Ward explaining some of their ideas.
The draft paper on pattern language that will be central in this workshop is downloadable here.
